Welcome to My Renewed Vitality!
Hi! I’m Annette, I am a Certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP), a Traditional Foods Teacher, and a RESTART® Instructor. If you are looking to increase your vitality in life through a whole foods diet then we have a lot in common. I love learning how the human body can repair itself when given the right nutrients.
This interest was fueled by my own chronic health issues, which were not alleviated by Western medicine. In the Fall of 2012 I took a leap of faith by stepping into a whole new paradigm, and I began the NTP program taught by the Nutritional Therapy Association, which was offered through South Puget Sound Community College. This 9 month course was intense, but it was worth every second of my time, and It has provided an amazing foundation for me to build on.
I graduated from the NTP course in June 2013. In Nov. of 2014 and Feb. 2015 I completed two certificate programs to Teach Traditional Food Techniques. In 2015 I also became a RESTART Instructor, check out that page here on my web site. I will continue to further my education in these areas, and others that fit into the Foundational Holistic Nutrition paradigm.
My mission and passion is to share my traditional foods journey with others that are looking for additional ways to find renewed vitality. Preparing food traditionally unlocks their bountiful nutrients and allows the body to properly digest and use them to their fullest potential.
I wholeheartedly believe that the quality of food we buy or grow and consume matters. Get to know your local farmers and don’t be afraid to spend money on food, it’s what builds your cells, your tissues, your organs, your body systems, and YOU as a whole organism.
What is Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional Therapists address nutrition from a holistic perspective, and their training is founded on the beliefs of such nutritional pioneering greats as Weston A. Price and Dr. Francis M. Pottenger, considered two of the greatest scientific minds ever to research nutrition, food supplies and their effects on modern society.
Nutritional Therapists, teach the importance of properly prepared whole foods that are delicious, nourish our bodies, and restore good health. Keeping in mind that there is no one perfect diet for everyone. As an NTP I address the bio-individuality of each person that I work with. Nutritional Therapists are trained to help each client find the right types of whole foods that will restore balance and enhance their ability to heal.
